Please note that our second-grade students will be participating in the middle-of-the-year Texas Primary Reading Inventory (TPRI) assessment this coming week of February 4-8, 2019. As a reminder, this middle-of-the-year TPRI assessment will measure the progress our second-graders have made in Reading since the beginning of this current 2018-19 school year. The state expectation is that every second-grader be able to read approximately 90 words per minute with the ability to comprehend what he/she is reading by the end of the school year. Please encourage your second-grade child to do his/her best next week on such TPRI assessment. Shortly after the completion of the middle-of-the-year TPRI testing process, our second-grader teachers will share such results with each parent/guardian.
